NFL Betting Odds

In NFL betting we need information so we can make a bet on a game. And like all betting activities, odds play an important part on the deciding factors.

NFL betting odds offer the bettor the latest prediction on how people are favoring one team or the other. NFL football betting odds shows that one team is most expected to win and the other team is the one that is most expected to loose.

There are two popular ways of interpreting NFL betting odds, point spreads and money lines. Both represent the team that is expected to win with a negative number and the team that is expected to loose with a positive number.

The difference between these NFL betting odds is that point spread is represented by points, so the team expected to win is reduced this points from his final score and team expected to loose is added to his final score. You win if your bet is on the team with the most points after the point spread modification. This is basically how it works.

In NFL betting odds like money lines, instead of adding or reducing points we bet on an amount of money. So if the favorite team has -110 on his line and the underdog +110 and you bet $110 on the favorite you will win $100. If you bet $100 on the underdog +110 and they win, you will win $110.

Sportsbooks uses the NFL betting odds mentioned above to give their bettors the necessary information for them to engage on wagering. Almost every NFL football betting website offers direct odds or links to NFL betting odds sites.

The best way to understand NFL betting odds is by placing a bet. That way, you will understand how it is that odds work. The most popular time to place a bet on the NFL is during the Super Bowl. You can learn more about Super Bowl betting at BetOnSuperbowl.com.

About Slot Machines

Slot machines are popular at every casino in the world, mostly because you can play them slow or fast, whichever you want, and you don’t have to possess any skill at all in order to win. Slot machines are perhaps the definitive game of chance, whether you’re playing a traditional mechanical slot machine or a more complex computerized video slot game.

Online casinos, such as Slots.lv, make a point to highlight the hundreds of online slots that they offer. The majority of online casino bonuses are directly marketed towards the slots players out there. There are hundreds of different themes from all different categories of our culture.

Playing the Slots

Playing a slot machine is simplicity itself. Insert your money, pull a lever or push a button, then look to see if you won or not. Your goal when playing a slot machine is to have a winning combination of symbols show up on the payline for the machine. There’s a payout schedule for each slot machine that explains how much money you win for specific combinations.

Odds and Returns

slot machines About Slot MachinesSlot machines have all kinds of symbols on them these days, including:

  • Cherries
  • Diamonds
  • Bars
  • Sevens
  • Aliens
  • Cartoon Characters
  • Playing Cards
  • Famous People
  • Historical Figures
  • Money
  • Jewelry

And a whole lot more.

But one thing all slot machines have in common is this: the more reels and combinations of symbols the slot machine has, the harder it is to win the jackpot for that machine.

Here’s an example. Suppose you’re playing a machine which pays out if you get 3 cherries lined up on the machine. And suppose that each of the 3 reels in the slot machine has 1 cherry and 19 other symbols on each reel. Your chances of hitting the 3 cherries is 1/20 X 1/20 X 1/20, which is 1 in 8000.

Suppose you’re playing a bigger machine with 100 symbols per reel instead of 20. Your chances change dramatically. 1/100 X 1/100 X 1/100, which is 1 in 1,000,000.

Or suppose you’re playing a machine with 5 reels instead of 3, and those reel still only have 20 symbols on each. You might think you have a better chance at the jackpot on this one then on the slot machine with 3 reels with 100 symbols on each, but the math might surprise you.

1/20 X 1/20 X 1/20 X 1/20 X 1/20 = 1 in 3,200,000. Your chances are 3 times as good at hitting the jackpot on the 3 reel machine with 100 symbols on each reel.

The Importance of Slot Machines in Casinos

80% or more of all casinos’ revenues are generated from slot machines; this makes the slot machine industry the most profitable and important aspect of running an online casino. Slot machine manufacturers and developers like IGT and Ballys spend countless hours and dollars experimenting and developing new slot machine games that will catch the eyes and ears of the casinos’ slot machine patrons.

Betting on Sports in the United States

sportsbetting usa sites Betting on Sports in the United StatesThere’s no doubt that there are a lot of gamblers who bet on sporting events of all kinds in the U.S. People have been able to bet on sports like the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and more since sports betting became legal in Nevada over 50 years ago. Some gamblers have always been open to betting on these games in places where it hasn’t always been completely legal.

Back before the Internet was popular, you would either have to make a special trip to Vegas or find a local bookie to place your bets. Either way, it could be a little bit troublesome and many people shied away from participating. Ever since the sportsbooks started opening up websites, they have made this process a bit simpler. People could place bets from the convenience of their homes.

Over in Europe and many other places in the world, there are whole industries for betting on sporting events. However, online sports gambling have still been quasi legal for people in the United States. There are a few of the Sports Betting US websites to choose between, but it still isn’t mainstream because there currently aren’t any regulations for betting online like there are in Vegas or elsewhere around the world. This is because the federal government hasn’t created any laws for or against sports betting online and thus haven’t set up any regulatory system to govern these websites.

Current Laws for Online Gambling

There are no current federal laws against an individual placing bets on sports online. This is why you can bet on horse races such as the Kentucky Derby even if you aren’t living in Kentucky. This is also why you can bet on fantasy sports such as fantasy football. Websites like FanDuel have capitalized on this and thousands of people place bets that they will win these fantasy sports games.

However, there are some states that have created laws against betting of any kind online. Some have specific laws such as no real money online poker, no online casino betting, or no sports betting. You will have to check you local jurisdiction to be sure, but I will give you a quick list of the states that have laws against online gambling.

States that have significant laws against betting online: Alabama, Florida, Hawaii, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah and Washington. If you live in one of these states, you should not participate in sports betting online.

States that have weaker laws against online gambling: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New York, Texas, Wisconsin and Wyoming. While there are laws on the books, you are unlikely to be prosecuted as an individual just for placing bets.

If you live in another state other than Nevada or New Jersey, there are no current laws on the books that prevent you from gambling online. If you live in Nevada or New Jersey, there are specific laws and regulations in place that make online gambling completely legal.

Where you can bet online

There are several sites that I can recommend that you try. The following websites have a good reputation and will allow you to place bets on sports: bovada.lv, 5dimes.eu, sportsbetting.com, topbet.eu, sportsbook.ag, betlm.eu, justbet.cx and betonline.com.

Wagering on Football at Bovada

It’s that time of year again! The time of year where kids go back to school and football season begins! If you are looking for a website to place bets on some of the upcoming games, you should take a look at Bovada Sports. There are some featured betting lines that are hot right now.

The beginning of the NFL year is only trumped by the Super Bowl betting that happens the week prior to the big game. This time of year, you can place a bet on which team that you think will win Super Bowl this year. This is called a Futures wager. Currently, the favorites to make Super Bowl XLVIII are the Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers at 6 to 1 odds.

The Futures betting is where a lot of action is taking place this week. Many of the Lines for individual games have not been established yet; so if you want to bet on football right now, the futures bet is where to look. There are two main types of futures betting in football: Player Props and Team Props.

nfl player team futures betting Wagering on Football at Bovada

Player Props

You must place these wagers before the start of the Regular Season which begins Thursday, September 5th.

Player Prop wagers include the 2013 NFL MVP odds to win. Peyton Manning is currently the favorite at 5/1 odds. In fact, the top 5 players are all quarterbacks: Aaron Rodgers (13/2), Colin Kaepernick (10/1), Drew Brees (10/1), Tom Brady (10/1). Adrian Peterson (12/1) and Arian Foster (33/1) are the only running backs and Calvin Johnson (33/1) is the only wide receiver to crack the top 18 with the other 15 players being quarterbacks.

Other futures betting includes “Who will record the most Passing Yards in the 2013 Regular Season?”, “Who will record the most Rushing Yards in the 2013 Regular Season?”, “Who will record the most Receiving Yards in the 2013 Regular Season?”, “Who will win the 2013 Offensive Rookie of the Year?” and “Who will win the 2013 Defensive Rookie of the Year?”.

In addition to that, you can place bets on individual players’ stats for the season. Each of the top fantasy football players for each team are represented in this category. All of the following bets are of the Over/Under variety. For quarterbacks, you can bet on how many TD passes they will throw this year, how many interceptions and how many passing yards they will throw for. Running backs will have wagers available for Rushing Yards for the season and Rushing TDs for the year. Wide Receivers will have how many Receptions, how many Receiving Yards and how many Receiving TDs for the season.

There are also wagers for individual defensive players such as how many Interceptions for a top player in the secondary or how many Sacks for a top linebacker or defensive lineman.

You can also bet on certain Yes/No questions such as “Will any Quarterback record 5000 or more Passing yards in the 2013 Regular Season?”, “Will any Player record 2000 or more Receiving yards in the 2013 Regular Season?”, “Will any Player record 2000 or more Rushing yards in the 2013 Regular Season?”, “Will any Quarterback record 1000 or more Rushing yards in the 2013 Regular Season?”. You can also bet on whether a team will go 16-0 or 0-16 this season.

Finally, there is the Tim Tebow prop bet. You can bet on his next move since he got cut by the New England Patriots. Will he a) Sign with an NFL Team (-175), b) Sign with a CFL Team (+400) or c) Sign with an AFL Team (+250).

Team Props

You must place these wagers before the start of the Regular Season which begins Thursday, September 5th.

There are two main team props that are being offered right now: “How many wins will your team have in the regular season?”, which is an Over/Under bet and “Will you team make the playoffs this season?”, which is a Yes/No bet.

When it comes to placing a bet, you may want to avoid placing bets on heavy favorites or underdogs. For instance, the odds for the Jacksonville Jaguars to make the playoffs is +1500 for yes and -3000 for no. If you are a diehard Jags fan, you can place a $50 bet to try to win $750 for your loyalty; but under no circumstance would I place any bet on the -3000 for “No, they won’t make the playoffs”. If you were to place a $500 bet on No, you would be rewarded with a $16.67 win at the end of the season.

The over/under bets on number of games won by your team is much more reasonable. Most of these are at most (-200) for a bet one way or another. The bet goes up or down based on the number of people betting on that side. For instance, Carolina is -200 for winning Over 7 games this season. The New York Jets are -200 for winning less than 6.5 games this season. This is the side that is receiving all of the wagers, so going against the grain may help you win more money.

Regular Season NFL Betting

The regular season starts with the Opener between the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens visiting the Denver Broncos. This is a rematch of last season’s playoffs where Baltimore scored a miracle 70 yard TD with 30 seconds left to tie the game. Peyton Manning threw a costly interception in 2OT and Baltimore kicked the game-winning field goal. This game is being held in Denver because the MLB Baltimore Orioles wouldn’t change their schedule for the Super Bowl champs. This means that Baltimore is going to be a heavy underdog in the game.

Most of the betting lines aren’t available this far in advanced of the games. If you would like to find the early lines for these games, you should check out NFLBettingLines.org for more information.

Basic Blackjack Rules

dealing blackjack Basic Blackjack RulesThere is a common misconception about blackjack that in order to win, you have to get as close as possible to 21. However, this could not be further from the truth, and it is one of the things that differentiate a good blackjack player from a beginner, or a player that will never be a good player.

In fact, the actual goal in blackjack is to beat the dealer. Players who go in to the game in order to get 21 at every round will be in for disaster. Sometimes a 13 or 14 will win you the game, and at times it is better to stand and see the dealer bust.

The first thing that you have to do is to see how many decks are used in the game. Single deck blackjack is becoming a thing of the past. Most games are dealt from a shoe, which means that the game is either a four or eight deck game.

Remember that the more decks are played, your chances of winning drop. You can still win at shoe games, but your goal should be to be play in a single or double deck game. If you are playing online, then ask before you begin the game how many decks are used.

Playing a hand

A game of blackjack begins with the dealer handing out two cards to each player in a clockwise fashion, beginning from his left. One card is dealt to each player at a time, with the dealer showing the players one of his cards. This is called the up card. Once the dealing is finished, it is the first player’s turn to begin. The dealer will always be the last to act, thus giving the casino an edge.

When it is your turn, you can do one of several things. You can request a hit, which means asking for another card. You can stand, which means to stay where you are and pass. You can also double down, meaning that you double your bet and take one last card. You may only do this if you have not already hit. If your two cards match, for example two 9’s, then you can split them to make two hands, and double your wager.

Each card is worth the number printed on it. The face cards are worth ten, and an Ace is worth 1 or 11-your choice. After all, players take their turn, the dealer turns over the unseen card. Most houses make the dealer stand on 17. If the dealer has less than this number, he or she hits the hand and continues to do so until the count is at least the stand amount or the hand busts. Blackjack is a fun game that’s easy to learn and profitable.

Gambling Online Is An Entertainment Experience

Gambling Online Involves a lot of Money

Everyone has a really great time when it comes to playing their favorite casino gambling online games. It doesn’t matter if you enjoy the random, no-brainer action of the slots or the strategic group action of a game of poker – it’s all about the fun and good times. Quite simply, gambling online is an entertainment experience.

Nonetheless, you need to always keep in mind the following – gambling online involves a a lot of money, and there is always someone making it. Online gambling casinos make tons of money off of… well, that’s right – gamblers.

That means you.

Of course, you already knew this, right? You are fully aware that when you go to an online casino gambling site, you are paying your hard-earned money to play video games. You are wagering the fruits of your labor. But it is entertaining, and above all – it’s your money.

It is an inescapable fact, something quite obvious, but nonetheless worth reminding you. You are paying to have fun, much like when you o to the movies or to a bar for a few drinks. The big difference is that the price tag for this “fun” is not a fixed number.

Legalized gambling, and in particular gambling online, continues to be one of the fastest-growing industries, both in the United States and abroad. For example, in Australia, revenue from gambling has more than doubled over the last decade, with player losses totaling AU$12 billion yearly.

That is why you have to keep in mind that no matter where you make the bet, at a land-based casino, or a sportsbook, or just gambling online – the house always has an edge, always has the advantage in one way or another. This house edge is usually between 1% and 20%.

It’s important that you choose a game with a lower house edge. Online casinos feature a lower house edge for games that have lower maximum pay outs, and for the games that are more difficult to play, such as blackjack and craps.
This way you keep enjoying your entertainment, but it doesn’t cost as much.

Visiting Gambling Sites Online Remains Safe, Secure and Fair

Gambling sites have quickly become one of the Internet’s favorite sources of home entertainment. As with any other business requiring safe and secure online transactions, the glooming fear of fraud and identity theft is a tangible element at gambling sites online, especially in view of the fact that these gambling sites online, both casinos and sportsbooks, rely on software to run casino games, results, and payouts.

This software in turn relies on the protective measures that these gambling sites online implement to protect themselves and their customers.

When it comes to online gambling, these companies concern themselves with casino game security and customer privacy. Although Internet fraud isn’t a rampant problem, the sole existence of it demands security measures to protect the assets of the gambling sites online, and in particular the most important asset of all – customer information and privacy.

One security component is the certification process. Many top gambling sites online feature logos and certificates on their sites. These security features indicate that the casino software have been audited and checked to deliver what is claimed.

The financial records are also checked to make sure the payout ratios that are displayed on the site are accurate. If the online casino or sportsbook is awarded a certificate by a third party auditor, take it as an indication that this website practices safe, secure, and fair gambling.
